Explore Moldova
Despite the prominent arrest of its president for corruption lately, Moldova is one of those nations that doesn't receive much news. Although it is underdeveloped and misunderstood, it is quickly building new relationships with Western Europe and spreading the word about its excellent wine. Europe's east includes Moldova. It is a landlocked nation bordering Romania to the west, Ukraine to the north, east, and south, and is generally shaped like a semicircle. The Black Sea is practically in reach of its southeasterly tip.
Most people probably know Moldova best for its excellent wine. Most Moldovan families create their wine at home; hence, most wines made in wineries are exported. Though still young, this industry is expanding quickly. Many outstanding religious institutions and structures exist in Moldova, including churches and monasteries. There are historical sites to see as well as castles and strongholds from the Middle Ages. Visit over the first weekend in October to partake in the annual wine festival, as wine is such a significant aspect of the local culture. Our Holiday Vibes are Only Good Vibes.
